Like many golfers, my obsession with the game began during the Covid-19 lockdowns. Once I graduated from pitch-and-putt to a full 18-hole course, I discovered The Grint—a GPS golf app that completely changed how I approached every shot. It pushed me to learn my distances, plan smarter, and take the game more seriously. But I hit a major snag: there was no good way to keep my phone accessible on the course. Keeping it in my pocket was uncomfortable, and pulling it out 3–6 times per hole to check distances or record scores quickly became a hassle. In 2022, I tried using a rangefinder for quicker access, but it had its own limitations—no help on doglegs, blind tee shots, or precise front and back distances. I still needed my phone. That’s when I decided to solve the problem myself. The idea was simple: create the first phone case truly designed for golfers—something that keeps your device secure and accessible without compromising style.

At first, I didn’t realize other golfers might be dealing with the same frustrations I was—I simply set out to build one prototype for myself. I focused on three core features: accessibility, design, and durability. After 6 months of prototype changes and drastic cosmetic changes, I landed by first prototype. I took it straight to the course. Before using it, I often guessed distances inside 140 yards. With the Caddy Case always within reach, I checked my phone for every shot—taking a moment to choose the right club, shot shape, and bailout. That day, I beat my personal best by five strokes and broke 90 for the first time. As I start my journey of building Caddy and improving the Caddy Case, I have come to appreciate the fundamental purpose of the product. The Caddy Case won’t magically make you a better golfer, but it does give you seamless access to the information that helps you play smarter—and I think it looks pretty good too. I hope you agree!
